Earlier this week, Google launched a new tool called a ‘Books Ngram Viewer‘ which allows you to determine how often certain words have been used in published books over the past 5 centuries (1500-2008)…
They only have about 4% of all books on record (5.2m books with a word count of 500 billion) so you need to take results with a pinch of salt, but it’s interesting none the less… here’s a few interesting results i’ve seen so far…
