I’ve decided to take the plunge and splash out on a whole new brand/design/image.
It’ll be a 3 stage process.
- Logo
- Theme
- Getting it all working
Number 3 is probably the most annoying/difficult. Inevitably, when you completely revamp a site or design there’s going to be problems and bugs. So i’ll need to set aside a lot of time for smoothing everything out, but at the minute i’m still confident of rolling the revamp out by November 12th (1 year anniversary). Certainly im looking at a new design within the month anyway.
I’m now working on Stage 1. I’ve got a logo and favicon (custom designed) on the way. Not too cheap either might i add, but then again the designer has a great reputation 😎
Stage 2 is finding a wordpress coder/designer – that ain’t a problem. Finding one that’s good and cheap is a major problem. I may be forced to run over my $100 budget, but i won’t give up just yet. The cheapest option is probably to get an uncoded .psd designed by one person, then pay another to code it.
Stage 3 is free. But it will take up a lot of time testing and tweaking bits and pieces (getting plugins to work/display correctly etc..) I can do that myself.
