New laptop Ordered

I’ve just ordered a new laptop, not for me however ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

It’s an Acer Aspire 4920 and it’s for my girlfriend – her first laptop. She’s also *fingers crossed* getting broadband over the next few weeks… i’ll run through the phone bills and pick a package that suits – i think by getting broadband, she will in fact SAVE money on her phone bill by getting it due to the package deals available ๐Ÿ™„

Anyway, on to the specs;

  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 – 1.5GHz (x2), 667MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache
  • RAM: 2GB DDR2
  • Hard Drive: 120GB
  • Screen: 14.1″ Widescreen TFT (1280×800)
  • Optical Drive: DVD±RW Super Multi Double Layer
  • Graphics: Integrated
  • Wireless LAN: 802.11a/b/g
  • Warranty: 1 Year Collect and Return
  • Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium
  • Card Reader (MMC, MS, MS-pro, SD, XD)
  • Built-In Camera

Not a bad little beauty for the round sum of โ‚ฌ650 delivered.

I’ll post pics when it arrives. It’s supposed to be a birthday present but it will arrive a couple of weeks in advance so she’ll probably end up getting her paws on it whenever it arrives, hopefully by Friday.

  1. My first laptop was an acer and it’s still going strong today ( my wife uses it )

Looks like a laptops direct purchase?

Does this mean you’ll be answering emails and chatting to her all day instead of doing any work?

well, that’s a good point, and one i’ve thought about… but i reckon it will save me time and money in the long run ๐Ÿ˜€

no more phone calls or texts – i can just IM her. No more her coming over to me wanting to buy stuff online or research something or put music on to ipod etc…

so there will be positive and negative effects to this, but i believe the positives outweigh the negatives
