Over the past 30 days or so i’ve uploaded over 1600 photos to my Flickr. I’ve linked to a few on this blog but that’s just tip of the iceberg stuff. Now i’ll showcase a few more…
Castle CCTV
One of the first things i noticed about the Blarney Castle was that there was a security camera on one of the windows. I spotted it instantly, and thought it was hugely ironic. A big old fortress of a castle with modern day sentries on duty 24/7 in the form of security cameras.
Blarney Castle Gardens
I spoke briefly about the Blarney Castle grounds and this is a good shot to showcase all the greenery.
It was taken from the top of Blarney Castle so as you can see, not a good idea to go up there if you’re afraid of heights. It’s probably not as small as it looks in the photos.
Photo Stealing
Sometimes i like to play a game called ‘photo stealing’. It works best in touristy spots and probably evolved out of boredom when i was on holidays… basically you look around for people taking pictures of other people, then take a photo of them taking a photo of somebody. The result is as follows;
Wildlife
I got some great photos & video in Fota Wildlife Park. This one is of a crow in a tree. Nice and close.
Here’s another crow, making sure nobody crosses the barrier…
Here’s one of a pelican, but when i see it in this pose, i think ‘ugly swan’…
The penguins were great entertainment and along with a few videos, i got some close up photos…
Straight Road Ahead
It’s extremely rare i ever get to travel more than about 20km’s in Ireland without the Sat Nav telling me to turn or ‘keep right’ when the course of the road naturally keeps you right anyway and a left turn is clearly an exit (i hate when it does that…). But on the way down to Cork i noticed the Sat Nav was telling me my next turn was in 133kms and indeed it was!
