1. CSS Menus

6. Javascript WYSIWIG Editor
It’s like a wysiwig editor but for javascript all done on the web page! Very cool and handy for building javascript driven forms and interfaces, especially if you don’t like coding or coding from scratch.

7. HTML Character Entities

11. CSS3 inline Editing
Edit code in place and watch how your editing changes the element inline. Very handy for getting to grips with basic CSS3 and understanding how it works.

12. Code Snippet Resource
It’s like a webmasters version of a scrapyard. You’ll have a field day on snipplr. Get snippets on code and save yourself tonnes of time. No point in reinventing the wheel and there’s a good chance you’ll find the right wheel for you on snipplr.

13. CSS and Javascript Compressor
Now that google takes speed in to consideration for rankings, you want any little boost you can get. Compressing your CSS files or javascript files will give you a theoretical boost, so why not do it. This is an excellent tool for just that. Copy & paste your existing code, then copy the output. It’ll do the same job, it just gets rid of all the white space and crap.

Allows you to roll your own jquery based theme. Uber cool. Pity i only discovered this now and not a few months ago when i could have used it in a project for extra wow effect!

Search for creative commons flickr images by colour. Very cool if you’re trying to use images to blend in to an overall theme.

18. Wireframes for websites & mobile apps
Old school pen and paper design may be dead in your eyes but it can still be useful to come up with ideas and visualize things better. Wireframes are basically templates to design with. You can get them for browsers, iphone, graphs…
19. Free Photoshop 3D Plugin
I mentioned this tool before but it’s free and useful and worth another mention. If you’re in to 3D & photoshop, you need this tool!

20. Should you use tables?
There are plenty of people who will revert to tables just because they think they’re easier to use and it’s what they’re used to. This site does an excellent job of answering the question ‘should i use tables for layout?’.

21. Watermark images quickly
Ever wanted to watermark all of your images? If you have hundreds in a directory, it might take you a while to manually add watermarks to them all. Luckily, this site explains how to watermark entire directories of images with just a few simple lines of code.
