I was driving along in the car yesterday and was thinking to myself if i’ve made the right decision to leave work and focus on blogging and internet projects like BeerChief.
After some thought i finally came to senses and figured if i was in work right that second, i’d be wanting to get home, on to the internet and catching up with what’s happening. The internet is where it’s all at for me. The prospect of living off it is a dream. But i’m a believer in the old phrase ‘you can do anything if you put your mind to it’
At least now that i have a chance to prove myself as an internet entrepreneur, i can never regret giving up my day job. Had i stayed on in my day job, i’d have been wondering ‘what if’…
- What if i had more time to work on BeerChief .. would it be launched sooner?
- What if i made more blog posts, could i have gotten a PR6 by the next update and live off the net?
- What if i had more time to learn SEO / marketing, could i make a living from it?
Those are all questions i’d be asking if i never made the move into thus business full time. So success or failure, i can never regret that decision. This is the career path i’m going down, this is what i’m best at, this is where i feel ‘at home’
So no, i’ll never get bored of blogging. If i do, i just have to remind myself of what a real job is like
